power steering ticking

just got a Ba xr6 with 40,000kms on the clock. It makes a weird tick or clicky kind of noise when I steer it in tight corners at slow speed, parking etc. any idea what that could be??

Re: power steering ticking

If it's happen's on full lock, I think they do this normally your not susposed to have it on full lock, as the owner's manual states, have you checked the fluid level?.

Re: power steering ticking

No, it loads up the pump too much. Won't kill it anytime soon, but it's not the best for the bearings either, apparently.
