Ive got a leak in the pressure hose on the power steeting unit in my XE. Turns out that the hose is not the standard hose for an XE. The hose has a female end going on to a male end on the pump, where as the standard looks like its the other way around. I had a thought that perhaps the pump is from an XA-XC, can anyone confirm the fittings are a male out of the pump? I'll try to take a pic if I get home before its dark tonight.

it should have a male sae fitting on the hose there was not very many xe's with power steering so im tipping someone has converted it. if it has a bulky round shape pump its early model if its only about 60ml thick its late model cheers GREG

It could be cheaper to get a mobile hydraulic guy to make one up??...We replaced one at work for latter model the whole hose needed replacing pluss fitting..

Yeah its a big fat round pump/resivour so I guess its an early model. I'll have to hit bursons and see what a XA-XC fitting looks like. As for getting a custom hose made up Im all for that but under what do these people list them selves?
