power windows.

Has any one converted their non power window EA to one with fast glass?.

Is it as simple as getting the actuators/regulators and assorted fixings+wiring, and switching manual winding gear for the electric? Also do the EA==> ED's have the same power window gear? and should this bolt onto the inside of my door?

How much do you think a power window kit from a wrecked EA/B/D will cost?..

Cheers

yeah, they will fit straight in... will need new center console with switch housing tho... I was quoted $440 for the entire kit.... a bit pricey too me.

anyone else had problems with their power windows?

So from what i understand, all i need to do is to drill out the rivits holding in the manual regulators, and install the Electric regulators and associated wiring. Is this right

Wiring in would be the hardest part. You could find a cheap fairmont ghia in the same color as you car and swap the doors.

i dont like the chances of finding a Fairmont Ghia with the same color (very light metalic green), and with the same ammount of fade. My car isnt faided at all but all paints change over time and im sure i wouldnt beable to get doors that match....good ide tho

The wiring doesnt phase me at all, its more of a case if i can workout how to swap the regulators and other bits accross..

And if i can find a kit for a reasonable price
