Anyone buying this chip will have to have it reprogrammed for their car. part of the inbuilt security on these chips is that the ecu id is linked to the chip. If you try it in a different car, it will blow a fuse in the chip rendering it unusable.

How do I know this - I had a chip in my AU1 XR8 and transferred it to my AU2 V8 and this is what happened. Powerchip wanted half the price of a new chip to fix/reprogam it.

Thats very pecuilar as I have in the past transferred a powerchip between 2 VS V6 auto Commodores and didnt have any problems what so ever.

That's a commodore - this is a falcon. maybe that's the difference?
