price on catalytconvertor's - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

hey all just wondering what the price is for a new catalytconvertor either from ford or aftermarket.or even from a wrecker.would it be worth getting one from a wrecker.and would a cat from an ef/el/au fit onto an EBll.

any cat from 88 EA all the way to 2002 AUIII will fit on your car.
(Barra one may as well to be honest but I'm not certian)
about $150 new I think

Ones from wreckers are usually fked, though theyd tell ya otherwise. New hi flow one shouldnt be more than $200, thats what mine cost

Go a new one, $150-350.

evil ea is spot on there. go to ur local zorst shop, a hi flow one should be about $200.

Are hi-flow cats really worth the $$? Could $200 be better spent on something else? I'm getting extractors soon but I don't think I'll bother with hi-flow cat.
