Hey guys thought i would post here as I need a no bullshit answer.

My sister in-law crashed her EB 5.0 and it has been written off. I need to get a rough guide as to the worth of the engine and gearbox.

As far as i know the car has done 200k and is a 91 model 5 litre EFI engine and automatic box. any ideas?

Also on a nother note does anybody know the specs of the OLD boss engines? was it a clevo bottom end and windsor heads?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. ta.

There were two small block BOSS engines way back the. The BOSS 302 (1969 & 1970) was a 302 Wheezer (I mean Windsor) block (4 bolt caps on #2, #3 & #4 and welded in core plugs). The top end was a version of 4V Cleveland Heads.

The second was the BOSS 351 (1971 only). It was all Cleveland with a 4 bolt block and closed chamber 4V heads.

depends on which you are refering.
The 302 boss 351C boss
Windsor & cleveland heads are interchangable, but there are mods to accomodate differences in water passages.

In 1972 open chambered heads were used with flat top pistons & the name was changed to 351C HO

o.k ta guys, its just that my sis in-laws husband has a 351 bottom end and wants to know if the windsor heads (off the 5.0 mentioned earlier) will go on and if it specs up as a 351 'BOSS' type engine.

Any advice on the other (yeah I know im being pushy!)

what sort of 351 bottom end? is it a cleavo or windsor? if its windsor then yes, the heads do fit..
