im looking for a simple change to make the outside look a little classier. Seriously for what i think they may cost, no rims comes close to the look of the EA Ghia rims. Now, 2nd hand, from wrecks or a wrecker, how much would a set of 4 cost me. With and without tyres.

I sold my old set off for around $200 (set of 5, but not very good tires), but an average price for a better set might be $300 or $400.

I've seen a set of 4 for $120 without tyres once in Dandenong, they've been sold since though.

Yikes! They are nice wheels to put on an EA, but they're not THAT nice. Tell them they're dreaming. I would be expecting to pay around $400 for a set with decent tyres.

i got a Q related to this topic....
when u tell your insurance company that u have alloys, how much do they hike the price up? and if they are factory alloys is there some sort of loop hole where because their factory they cant charge u extra?? my mate told me this but i thought it was bull.

I can only tell you of my own experience with the RACV. When I upgraded from 15 to 16" wheels, I told them about it, they asked the width of the wheels and since it was within their strict guidelines, I had no problems and didn't have to pay any extra. However, I have a whole bunch of mods supposedly insured, but the most they would pay out is about $2000 for all of them, even though I've spent a lot more than that. I guess that is the catch.

Thats a good question..

Would the 15" EA Ghia rims be classed as standard alloys if you put them on an EA, or would they be classed as aftermarket alloys??
