XEBAU

Been having some problems in my eb ghia recently. My cruise control has started ****ing up. It hasn't stopped working completely, if I hold the set/accl button down it almost holds its speed, but won't accelerate and as soon as I let go it slows down. I did this the other day on a long trip and then after giving up just accelerated normally, only to feel the pedal moving under my foot, its TRYING its little heart out to work but just not enough. Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?

the eb uses a combernation of electrical,vacum and cable to operate,the probelm you mention could be either vacum or the cable,a vacum hose runs from behind the washer bottle across to the right side beside the booster to a vacum pull unit for cable it also t's of to the inside onto a switch assy at the brake pedal check to make sure the hose is not split to adjust the switch turn it slighty anti clock wise and push it towards fire hard against brake pedal. check cable for damage hope this all helps
