I decided to try some Mobil synergy in my EB. My local servo said they have Synergy 8000 even tho the pump was just labelled "premium Unleaded". Today, with an intermitent engine miss at idle I called them to say was that really 8000? The boss finally said no, 95 RON. I have since added 20 litres of real 8000 from a different servo. As I changed the plugs yesterday too, I am puzzled about the periodic miss only at idle. Could it be just some bad fuel? Could it be the plugs? Or is it just the car getting used to a higher RON?

did u fill up when the truck was filling the underground tanks? all the crap down the bottom can get stirred up at that time...

^ in my experience that would generally get water and muck in the fuel filter resulting in dying engine.. not so much a miss.

i'd go bad fuel.. go for a long drive and empty the tank, then fill up at a different brand and see how you go.
