First time here, so please excuse my lack of knowledge in some areas! :)
I'm going to fit a V-8 into my Dad's EA Falcon as a present to him, and the main problem I can see if that the instrument panel is set up for a six cylinder as that's all that came in the EA's.
I was wondering if the V-8 intrument panel from an EB would fit in and work okay?
Also, we'll be needing a good aftermarket V-8 exhaust system for it. It'll need to be fairly quiet and of good quality. (Ie, no crushed bends, etc)
Any suggestions there as to where to go? I imagine there'd be a few places that would sell them as aftermarket add-ons and so have them on the shelves.
Gold Coast Brisbane area.
Yeah, you couls use a V8 instrument cluster from any EB or ED falcon. You can still use your cluster, but the tacho would be out. As for the exhaust, any decent exhaust show should be able to help you out. For peformance, look for a single 2 1/2" or twin 2 1/4" systems with decent mufflers and a set of pacemaker or genie extractors.
You'll need a engineers certificate = $$$, a lot of things to be changed, and your still stuck with an EA. Plain silly when you consider EB's are selling at near the same cost as EA's these days.

Nah, it's getting a Lexus V-8, not a Ford one.
Thanks Chris - I'll have a look closer to home first and let you know if I can't find one.
