Just wondering how hard it would be. I know guys like Mark D'laqua (sp) fitted a BLOWN 351C to a MkII Escort, but I wonder how a nice compact Windsor would fit? Are Escorts built on the same chassis as a Capri? People whack Windsors into those all the time, if the chassis is the same, then it shoudnt be too hard!!

yes it has been done but it a firewall remake, chassis rail rework,trans tunnel rework,re end make over,put a jap import in one for the same result,or throw a 2ltr in it with a turbo

In Millilitres (CC)- Original weight (kg) x 3.0

Supercharged / Turbocharged-

In cu. in. OW (kg) x 0.153
In Ml (cc) OW (kg) x 2.5

i read in street machine that Mark D'laqua said he got his 'scort engineered only months before the legislation was changed cant remember which month/year s.m. mag it was but there was a full rundown he said that it is impossible to get one engineered now

I was sitting in the car park eating my Hungry Jack's lunch today and noticed a very nice bright green RS2000 Escort parked nearby. It had Convo Pro wheels on it and was in showcar condition.

I nearly choked on my burger when the guy started it up: yep, a fat V8 rumble from the twin tailpipes. I know SA is tough for registering conversions like this, but somehow this guy has done it!

Anyone know anything about this car?
