Does anyone know where I can get a boot emblem for the 1973 PX5 LTD ? Its just a "L" with chrome outside and a red interior.
Also the LTD stands for Lincon Type Design, the question is, is the floorplan based on the 1973 US Lincon ?

Any help on the history of the PX5 would be appreciated.

I have also heard that LTD stand for Lincold Thunderbird Division but have never got a definitive answer.

The Aussie LTD is just a stretched Falcon which is of course of US origin.

No Lincoln was called LTD, it was a Ford model and originally called Galaxy LTD, basically a large family sedan, I'm pretty sure it did share a chassis (actually a perimiter chassis) with Lincolns but certainly not the Falcon/Fairlane chassis which is of unitary construction.

You might want to check out an early Galaxy LTD, there is a car dealer on Gnangara Rd Landsdale who has one for sale at the moment, I forget there name but they are on the RHS (travelling east) just before the Gull petrol station. A bit further on and on the same side is Forparts, you could check with the for the Emblem.

IIRC, the centre boot emblem was actually a boot lock cover as well?
