I've actually seen a 185kw badge on the back of a Falcon & it wasn't a Crappadore badge. It was a about 6 or 7 years ago (in Canberra) that I'd noticed a couple of unmarked cop cars getting around with the '185 WSV' badges. I eventually caught up with them (on a Friday night defect blitz) & asked what it was all about. The coppers informed me that they (ED XR8s) were a Police special order through Walkinshaw Special Vehicles - hence WSV (a testing workshop off-shoot from HSV), and had different cams, exhaust, chip, intakes & some mild headwork. I actually got a look under the bonnet on a cobalt blue one & it did have aftermarket extractors & exhaust system, upper intake identical to ED Sprint & a K&N panel filter. It seemed as if they weren't lying - for a change (LOL). But seriously, everything they told seemed to be true - the cars certainly sounded differently to your standard XRs & some engine parts were also different to the norm. They also sat bloody low. the cops told me they were testing 4 - 2 XR8s(blue & black) & 2 XR6s (silver & green), never saw the black one but did see the others, the XR6s just had the WSV badge. I asked a mate here who owned a Ford dealership at the time but he hadn't heard about anything through the network but the cops were looking for more powerful Falcons for pursuit vehicles, - probably went aftermarket after delivery. I also asked the cops if they were happy with cars, "Yes, but they keep have diff problems" Haven't heard that before, HaHaHa.
