Rear-ended. What hidden damage to look for?

rsky Registered User Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Columbia, MD Posts: 2	Rear-ended. What hidden damage to look for? Some guy just rear-ended my 2008 V6 convertible. $3300 damages on $30,600 car 1 month after purchase. Insurance will repair "like new", but they are looking at panels, bumper, lights, etc. Guy hit at an angle on the rear bumper at 20 to 30mph. Do I need to worry about the frame? Windows and covertible top mechanical? Rear axle or wheels? Manual transmission? (I was in gear.) Anything else I should have checked? Any tips on how to get a good inspection of these? And how much have I lost on resale value just from that hit on the car history? R
