Anyone one know were to get cheap reco heads for escorts in melbourne like under 400 bucks ?

no compression in 2 cylinders. Machanic thinks it could be the head as it doesnt blow smoke. still runs but max speed is around 90.

i dont know about melbourne, but i just picked up a sierra head that needs some reconditioning (not much) and will let the car run on cats piss, oops, unleaded, for $350 in perth.

Theres a guy in queensland that imports sierra 2ltr pinto efi unleaded engines by the container load with low to average ks,I dont have his number on me ,But he wants $250 for the heads ,they have better port design and flow better ,Look in auto action in the classified section for his number,he sells cosworth gear as well,And he will organise freight to your door

Can you bolt on a cosworth head to an old 2L pinto engine?
I was told awhile ago this was possible but am not sure if its true can anyone Help

You can ,its the same (design)block,but dont go turboing it as you would use a 205/200 block which has better cast qualities.

Cosworth heads are very pricey if you havent already got one ,

Especially to rebuild, if you buy one buy it complete /belt/timming pullies the lot. Hard to track down otherwise
