Removing EB II Door trim?

Ok, got a quickie for you all. Iím replacing the factory standard speakers in the doors of my EB Series II tomorrow. I just need a guide on how to best remove the door trim in order to do this. Iím sure I could figure it out, but if anyone here knows itíll save me some much needed time.

I hope the set of Clarions Iím taking over from my old car arenít too deep for the doors, as they managed to scratch the tinting on my old VK, and now they got to be mounted on the inside of the door. But the EB doors look thicker, so maybe it wonít be a problem.

Thanx in advance,

Youll need a security srew driver bit set.

Pop the three plactic caps off the door handle, and use the star shaped bit to remove the 3 screws. Then pull the handle and rotate it 90 degrees and pull the handle a bit. the metal hook will come out with a bit of perswasion (spelling?). Wind the window all the way down. Remove the cover that goes over the mirror adjustment (2 screws and one of those bastard clip things that always nearly break). Ten remove all the screws around the sides and bottom of the door trim. Grab the top and pull steadily untill the black rubber peice slides off. Lift door trim out and set it down somewhere it wont get scratched. Done!

the clips along the top may need some force to take off.
sometimes the window seal can come off, but u just put it back on.
it WILL come off :D

Hehehe - broke one of the clips when taking the mirror console off on the driver's side of my ED. Not happy. I gave up taking the trim off because I was scared I would break more clips.

Gave it another crack a few weeks later when I was bored and this time lifted the trim upwards really hard. It came off rather easily. Make sure you lift it vertically with a bit of force.
