I want to remove the side strips on my EA series 1, they are the bog crappy grey plastic. Whats the best way to remove them? i have removed the 10cm one which sits near the back wheel, but it has left the sticky stuff on the car. How would i remove the sticky stuff without damaging any paint?

may I add a question to this post? ( I also want to know what to remove the sticky stuff with ) I have heard eucalyptus oil works well?

what would one use to stick a set of mouldings he gets from the wreckers back onto the doors?

double sided tape like they use from factory. I removed my 4.0 badges using a hairdryer. Just use it till it gets pretty hot(not hot enough to damage the paint tho), and carefully removed badges with a flat screw driver, then just kinda rolled the sticky stuff with my fingers. Bit of a hassle, but no real hard work and no paint damage.

I had a lot of rubber stuck to my rear bumper from the previous owner, all I did is scrubbed it with a cloth and turps, then I washed it with water and polished it. Didn't seem to do any damage to the paint.
