Does anyone with the CFI 3spd know roughly what revs the motor would be doing in 1st at 80km/h??

Also someone mentioned earlier about exhausts (2.5" with a single hotdog resonator with no muffler) - would this sound loud as all hell, fart and backfire like a VL, or have a nice tone to it??

I'm deaf myself and I tried to see how much I would get out in 1st out of my 3spd auto EA. It felt like the engine was going to fall into pieces... felt like a whining drill... It could of gone up to 90km/ph but 80 km/ph was so much in 1st gear!

It did take off quite quickly... say about 5 seconds to reach 80km/ph, I shifted it into 2nd then into 3rd quickly.

mine doesnt go past 100kmph in first before what feels like its "cutting out", thats at 5,500RPM

Geez guys 80+km in 1st gear ? Well I dunno about 3speed gearbox but the max i take mine to in 1st is 60km which is close to 5k revs. Oh yeh guys i bet some prick in a VN lastnight twice from the lights, yeh it was good.

I must be too gentle on my EA, because when i do a big takeoff it revs right out , but the max speed i can get out of 1st is about 70 kmph, but my EA cfi is stock .

You guys must rev the shit out of your EAs !!!

i have a 3 speed auto with a 2.77LSD

im sure anyone could verify 100kmph before hitting rev limiter

I've done 90 in first with a 4spd 2.9 diff, I dont have a tacho so i cant say how much it was revving but it was screamin like anything so i changed to second, 100 might of been possible but the engine woulda been goin through hell to get there

Ben - I also have 3 speed and 2.77 LSD and I can get it to about 85-87 if I redline it.

Shit, come to think of it the rev limiter is 5750rpm. I thought it was 5250 for some reason. You may be right but I would never try it. The highest i've ever revved it is 5250rpm and thats just in neutral. I'm not gonna risk trying to beat that.
When I used to have the KA Laser I once revved it to 8000rpm and I regularly took it to 7000rpm in 1st and 2nd.
