i just want to know what is the tyre pressure required for 15inch tyres. i have an EA fairmont ghia and on the drivers door it has a sticker saying it should be inflated to 26psi for normal load. now 26psi sounds really low...is that the right pressure to pump it up to? i have a corolla with 13inch wheels and the tyre pressure on that is 36psi for normal load
On the car with slight temp i'd say around 32-34 at least. I tend to run 32 on the fronts and 30 on the rears and done after a few km of driving only. Once fully hot.. closer to 36 anyhow.
26psi is too low and stated by Ford just for comfort. The standard is 36psi all around if you are unsure what it is meant to be at. If you have lower profile tyres obviously it will need to be higher... Also depends on the max PSI rating mentioned on your tyres sidewalls.
