Roof lining

The problem is that the carpet lining on the roof is letting loose and dropping down. I have also noticed this in other EA's getting around.. I have only got one quote at the moment and they want $170 and claim to replace the whole roof lining..

The question i have is has anyone else here had this problem and got it fixed.. prices?? places? etc..

Cheers

I know $170 sounds like a lot, but for the job they do, it's worth it. What would happen if you're driving along and the whole lot falls on your head covering your eyes?

Hey Jakobi,

As Papa Smurf said just source a good roof lining and whack that in yourself. I did that, just found an ED that was being wrecked with a decent roof lining and put it in my car.

It'll take you about an hour and a half to do yourself, you have to be very careful not to break the clips that hold the plastic trimmings on.

Cheers,

Sundeep

I had the same problem with mine. It was sagging just a tad over the front passanger seat. After about 2 months the whole thing was sagging. It looked terrible. I went to an auto trimmer in Tweed Heads, and got mine redone for $160. They use the old backing but put brand new fabric and better glue on there. it now looks like new and very much worth the money.
Just my 2 cents worth.
