It's back and it's LOW!!!

Found a problem with my EF XR8 the other day. Took it to Pedders for a wheel-alignment and couldn't be done till fixed.

Got it back today and does it look mean!!!!.

Sports ryder suspension on all corners, c/c kit, upper and lower arm bushes and it handles like a dream.

Went to the shop on the way home and talk about being paranoid over speed humps.

The manager told me it's JUST on being legal, height-wise.

Just put new tyres on which make it lower again. Had 215/60/15, now it has 225/50/15.

Down side is whilst they were under the car found the harmonic balancer to be seperating. Never replaced one of them,so might get some prices from a few shops. Anyone can suggest a reasonably priced balancer???????

Seen re-build ones advertised, but dont know if they will hold together.

Only mods done to the car are Pacemaker extractors and a twin 2 1/2" s/s, mandrel bent exhaust system. Oh, and a K&N airfilter.

Cheers
Jon

if i were you i would save a little extra and get a new or even genuine one. the later cars with all the accessories hanging of them put heaps of pressure on the balancer.

i had a mate with a VK V8 with all the accessories on. he put a reco one on on a monday. he drove down the coast (from canberra) on the friday and the thing exploded on him half way down the clyde mountain and he lost control of the car because he lost power stear while going around a bend. didn't hit anything but thats got to scare the s**t out of ya.
