Serpentine belt conversion underway! (halfway through)

Wel I finally got around to buying the parts I need for the serpentine belt conversion. All up has cost me $600 so far, that's with AU thermo's for $160 and EF AC compressor (which was $200 alone!) I figure whether I do the pulleys or put an EF engine in, these including the powersteering pump would have had to be purchased anyway...

I let you's know how it turns out :)

Re: Serpentine belt conversion underway!

Do EA SI have the old R12 A/C gas?

Also, couldnt buying a long EF/L motor and droping it in be almost more cost effective.

Ive been described as a vault of usless random knowledge.

Ill take it as a complement i think.............

Re: Serpentine belt conversion underway!

Well his a/c lines will still be the same. Basically with a ef el motor he would not have to do the waterpump, p/s, crank pully (?) alternator. If he got one for $800 and it was a relativly low km one he'd be doing ok. thn theres the cost of getting it put in
