Short Shift

Does anyone know of or have made a short shift kit for their car?
or even shortened the shift lever?
How were the results..

I read in a mag somewhere about putting the EA stick in an AU and it resulting in less throw and a nicer feel... any1 else read that? i think it was in street machine or something.

I have a B&M Ripper Shifter in my manual ED. I love the shorter throw although some people wouldn't like the notchiness. Its great for shifting hard as there are positive stops at the back and front to prevent over shifting and damaging the internals of the T5. It's also spring loaded to make the 2-3 shift a no brainer.

Only negative is the lever is tilted to the left to suit LHD for the yanks. The lever can be replaced though so this is not a terminal problem.

Several US companies make quick shift kits for T5s & I've seen them at rare spares except be careful as some are made for left hand drive & lean the wrong way. I just cut the stick with a hacksaw on my TX3 & it felt better to me
