General TechHave a question that is not covered by one of the other categories? This is the forum for all other items not specifically covered in other categories.
As some of you may remember, I have the infamous balljoint issue and the equally infamous knocking diff issue.
This has been with my dealer now for well over a month. They've logged it as a PACE case and got me to come in once to check the compliance plate (6th of Feb) and I haven't heard anything since.
I have a strong suspicion that the PACE case they've logged is on their interpretation of the fault (surging while in 2nd and 3rd and no accelleration), though. I've been Mr Nice Guy through all this, but now I'm starting to get imptatient.
I know the balljoint issue still isn't solved, but should I start getting a bit narky with them that it's taking this long to get a resolution? I'm sick of driving my car and it sounding like the bottoms going to fall off (a slight exaggeration).
Any advice appreciated,
Simon....

I had the same problem. I took the car in (not knowing what it was) for its 15,000km service and told them about the noise. They knew what it was and fixed it that night (Tue before Xmas).
I know how bloody annoying this can be, and for @#^$ sake you pay alot of money for the car so you expect it to be right. I would be getting pretty pissed off by now. My advice tell them to fix it straight away, as I said mine was all done in the same night as the service, so it's no big hassle for them.
Go get angry.
BTW, where are you. If you are in Sydney perhaps I can recommend the place to go. It may be worth driving out of your way if you know you can get it fixed straight away.

They wouldn't want me angry, I assure you :oo1: . I'll try at 'just mildly pissed off' to start. Unfortunately, I'm the type of guy who's cool, calm and collected and then just has a gutfull. I think they're taking advantage of it, at the mo'.

Sorry, in Perth. I can't get the BB to accept it in my location specification!
Thanks anyway,
Simon....

Hey man.... be forceful without losing your cool & take no shit from em.. If that fails SPEAK to the manager explain the hassles you have had & you want it rectified TODAY!!!!
These are hassles you definately should not have with a new car.
Whats with Ford & their "Customer Service" or lack of it

Had the same with my ball joints. Call Gareth at the ford centre and get STROPPY. Got my car fixed. Threaten that you want a new car as they can't fix it etc.
Gee, I've had all sorts of cars - Holden, HSV, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Ford, Mazda, and god knows what else. The service I receive at City Ford Sydney is absolutely positively good. Not perfect, but better than I have had before.
Wait till I get T-Series - now that sounds like good service!!!!
