Here's a quicky - Just wondering if people had heard anything about SIRCAR engines? Their ads always appealed to me and it's almost time to upgrade the XD's 351.

I've seen a few SIRCAR engines 253ci/308ci/304ci. None were anything to write home about. Owners thought they went fast till I only had to use 2 of my 3 gears on my 3 spd auto to whoop them. I refused to waste any more fuel on them.

Reliability? None of the cars that I saw had or ever had any reliability issues. The owners of cars that had SIRCAR engines were in another club I am a member of. I've known them for about 4 years. They can supposedly build nice engine but I am just yet to see one that is actually fast. Considering my cars a tank compared to an early model Commodore.
