Skidpan day anyone?

I've been reading some other club forums lately and a couple have organised skidpan days and everyone who went said they loved it. I seriously want to go to one of these it would be fun as you get to learn how to control some slideways action in a controlled environment and the only thing that is damaged if you spin out is your ego The surface is also apparently really slippery and tyre wear is kept very minimal so you don't need to to worry about wrecking your 'good' tyres. Anyone had any experince with these days?
