I have read the stats for my EA MPFI and i figured that it should have a bit more go than what it does. I feel like a very stock vl could flog me and i dont doubt that it would. I know that i'm cursed with a 3 speed auto :( however i was wondering if say a cone air filter would do much and what size extractors go best mabey 2.5" ??? Oh yeah are cone air filters illegal?

Ohh... one more thing anyone know where to get a decent horn... mine is quite laughable!

The first thing I'd check is your throttle cable. This was the cause of the problem in my case.

As for the horn, I'd try and hook up a dual horn set-up. The Ghias came standard with this.

Yeah I think my Fairmont's horn is a dualer, coz it ****en rocks..

I luv my horn, and I thought that all falcons/fairmonts/fairlanes had the same horns.

I only had one horn on my GL so i picked up another from the wrecker ($2) and wired it in. gives a more truck like hoot :)

well my gl had 2 horns one was ****ed so i ripped it off and the one i have on it sounds quite girly but i'm going to got get one of those musical air horns!!!

Hmm, SSF I guess a horny girl would be better than a girly horn but what does a girly horn sound like.

truck horn is the way 2 go SSF, pull up behind someone and HHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNKKKKKKK, i laugh every time i see a thread bout one or think bout it, and its great 4 when there is a cyclist on the side of the road, yippya, need i say more.
sorry if i seem a little obsessed with novelty horns (ie-the rest of my posts) but they r tops

Try a horn of a Morris Minor 1100 (even if those exist here) They are very very loud and quite deep sounding. Loudest horn Ive ever heard. Be careful which way you wire it up though. The wrong way will kill it instantly.

As for the sluggish EA, have you had any luck yet?

When I changed my fuel filter I noticed greatly improved throttle response.
