Hey guys,
I have a 90' EA falcon GL, and although it runs really well, and it will beat most older commodores that my mates have, i still want more out of it. What can i do to get it to go better? It has a poor start but its got good accel. once it gets going.
i just put a 3.23 diff in my mates EA a couple days ago. first he went from 2.77 to 3.08 which was ok, 3.08 to 3.23 was much better. the diff cost $350 but 50-100 bucks would have been for freight from the mainland. he was quoted around $150 here to install it. but you can do it yourself pretty easily. it took us around 4-5 hours.
The first thing I'd do is ensure the throttle cable isn't the problem - no good doing performance mods otherwise.
