Does anybody know how to get the error codes out of the BEM?
I can't use the Smartlock computer - have to use a serI computer - and can't understand why as the car got a COMPLETE serII wiring loom....
Don't really wanna take the car down to Ford, it'll disappear for a week and come back with a bloody huge bill on it, if the last time is anything to go by...

As far as i was aware it had to do with a series of flashes & times for the led jewel to flash

To read error codes... turn the key to the run pos , then off then back to the run position.
Error codes are read by the flashing of the smartlock warning jewel or LED.
code 2 wrong data recieved 1 or 2 codes incorrect
code 3 wrong data recieved all 3 codes are incorrect
code 4 Electronic lock assembly ot smartlock connector open / electronic lock ass power supply open
code 5 Electronic lock ground open/ circuit open
code 6 Starter motor safety circuit failure (inside smartlock module)
code 7 boot soleniod open/ shoet circuited.

Is that the same with ef's??

mrs.botch's ef which i put a factory alarm on a while ago, now gives one steady beep for lock, followed by two short beeps . And when you unlock it it gives two normal beeps followed by i think 3 short beeps. It does this now ALL the time

Normally the short beeps are to let you know that someone has tampered with the car or set off the alarm i thought. Cant find anything wrong. Will the smartlock error codes show anything ??
