I've got an EB11 injected engine and trans with computers and wiring that is going into a 1970 capri. I want to disable the smartlock. Looking at the wiring diagrams for an EB11, it would seem like all I need to do is tee into the wiring running from the distributor TFI module to the -ve side of the coil, run it through an "IDM" resistor and into pin 4 of the ecu.
Is it as simple as this? Anybody know what the resistance and wattage of the "IDM" resistor is?
