My EB11 stinks like hell on optimax but not on Caltex premium also seems to run a bit better on Caltex, any other experiances.

My mates RAV4 stinks to but I think thats normal Jap shit smell

I dont think all that much of optimax , i use Vortex . Its about 5c more p/ltr than regular and my ED runs better on it that optimax that costs 9-10c more per Ltr.

Never notice any smells.... I guess I dont sniff the fumes I tried them all at one point and they all seem to be the same.

I have found that optimax stinks in any car.... as you say it smells like rotten eggs. I don't care, I don't use it. I prefer normal premium, the EF seems to run smoother on normal premium than on optimax and yeah I know they're the same octane levels :) but there's just something about optimax that doesn't feel quite right.....

That rotten egg smell comes from high levels of sulphur in the fuel. I also use Vortex, haven't noticed any pong from that.

My car runs on a diet of 98 Octane Synergy 8000 or Optimax if I can't get the 8000. I tried the Vortex once and to tell you the truth I thought it was worse than regular unleaded. The car didn't want to rev and the economy was just terrible. Can't say that i've ever come across a petrol that smells...

i noticed that if i used S8000 in my old ute it stunk and i havent tried it in the fairlane
optimax didnt stink in it i just use optimax all teh time
