Spark plugs and leads

Hey guys

My EFII Fairmont is about due for a service. I think I should be changing the spark plugs and leads. What are you guys running in your 4.0L I6? Only mod for the car is K&N panel filter, T-Series Intake Snorkel and 2.5" Cat back sports exhaust.

I was thinking of running NGK spark plugs (platium or similar) and Top Gun leads. In regards to the leads what is the difference between the 8.0mm and 8.8mm besides greater diameter? Is there a performance gain involved?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In most cases it's the outer core / insulation thats thicker, the inner conductive core is the same...
