Just a quick one.
You guys with splits up the front of youur falcons. Where have you put your tweeters and crossovers??
I am straining my myself to get a location.
Does the stock position sound alright? I have a dash mat is this bad?
Thanks in anticipation.
I have Pioneer 6" splits in my EBII and the tweeters are mounted in the plastic cover that fits around the mirror remote lever. The main speakers are in the factory spot.

Yep, I have enquired at a few places about getting splits in the front of my EA. Most places have recommended that you install them the same as Falchoon has. I will be doing the same when I can afford it.
Thanks guys. i think ill put them in the plastic behind the mirror as suggested. by the way they are infinity kappa splits 5.25 inch 85W rms 340W peak.
What do ya reckon??
My setup's the same as the above (tweeters mounted near the mirrors, crossovers and mid in the doors). As far as picking tweeter placement, my adv would be when you are putting them in (or getting them put in) experiment. Tape/or blue-tak the tweeters somewhere, listen to a bit of music and then move them around. Try on the dash, in the doors, A-pillars etc...
As far as dashmats, can't see a problem as long as it has holes in it for the tweeters ?
As far as infinity speakers, good stuff :) (assuming you mean the KAPPA50.5CS ??) . If so, on their website they are advertised at U.S. $329.95 rrp. If that's the case, then (just IMHO) that kind of money would put you easily into focal (polykevlar) and boston acoustics (rally) territory and perhaps it might be worth checking them out !! (again just IMHO :) ), But if you've auditioned the infinity's and like them that's what matters.
Also, I don't know about what speakers will fit in the ed doors, but is it possible to go larger than 5.25 ?? (not that there's anything wrong with that size (my splits are 5.25"), but typically eg. 6"/6.5" splits tend to give more midbass if that's what you prefer).
Pretty sure you can put 6" in EBII & ED. EA & EBI only 5.25" though?

I ended up putting them in the mirror panel like suggested.
I could only go 5.25 cos of the depth of the 6's. if i went sixes they wouldn't be properly covered in the door and might get wet. The 5.25 fit perfectly.
They are the infinity Kappa series 50.2cs
I got them for $200 down from about $450. (thats what the tag said anyway).
They will be powered by my Head unit for a week or so until i get another amp for my subs in which case the splits will then be powered with 70W RMS.
Thanks for everyones help.
