10kw's at the wheels is bullshit...On a v8 (Holden 5L) i've seen the dyno printout with no cold air (only factory snorkle) intake it made 125kw @ the wheels, with the cold air ducted to suck air from underneath the guard & factory snorkle blocked off it made 128kw @ the wheels, with both the factory intake & new cold air intake it made 131kw @ the wheels....This means that 10kw's is bullshit not unless the car is doing speeds of over 180kph (you might as well say bye bye to your licence if you get cought) will there be 0.1 psi positive boost increase (theoreticly speaking) @ which point you will get that 10kws @ the wheels but you will not feel the difference because you are going so fast anyways....
i put one on my AUII XR8 the other day.
i dont know about 10kw at the wheels, but it has given it more pull down low and generally is noticable increase all round.
its a huge scoop and you have to cut a huge mutha hole in your air box to fit the thing in. It has a alluminium dish this that screws to the radiator support panel and dishes the air up from behind the front grill, to the air scoop.
I took some pics of it today, will post them monday if you want to see what it looks like.
had a look at it, it looks good, but is not cheap! I heard a mate whos in the industry talking about doing something similair to a crappodore, might have to have a word, and see what he could do it for!
keep the opinions comming!
cheers

But I would still want to try and position the pod further down behind the headlight or back into the factory airbox so that you could at least get some cold air in there.
The gains they quote are BS and they are over priced.
The cheapest way to do exactly the same thing is to buy a
T-Series intake, they are $27 and have the Tickford wings on them. These have the large opening on them. Then go and buy a K&N panel filter for around $120.
Trust me, it does the same thing and is over $200 cheaper. Visit my web site below and look at the mods section. There is photos of it there.
