What is a stall converter and how does an engine benefit from it. I know that they allow you to get the revs up before aking off but i read in Ford Performance that
"a 3000 stallie would be needed or the 351C in question would be almost undrivable"
How does a Stall converter operate in normal use?
Does the car always need to be revved up to 3000 before it will move.
Is it a bitch to drive in slow traffic??

a standard stall convertor has a stall speed around 1600,by raising the stall speed you get on to the power easier/quicker, in a way like slipping the clutch,in traffic it's o.k but revs a little more to move the car,the only down point being that creats more heat in the gearbox fluid
