my starter motor went in my car to (EB ll spac).

just wondering what a new one costs or a recon any help would be good guys ???

Hi,
I've replaced the starter motor on dads EF, for a new one your looking at $220-250 depending on model for the part itself. Reco i would guess be cheaper depends if your planning to get autoelectricians to do fix it.

A friend of mine got his XF starter motor re-conditioned (a while back) at Hazelbrook Auto electrician for a decent price. Might be worth to pay a visit there.

An AU (possibly BA too) starter motor works in everything back to XP and costs $160 retail if you shop around.

Starter motors are as easy as changing a wheel !!![Disc earth battery terminal first] Get some stands and 1/2 decent floor jack and some tools. Doing it yourself would pay for the tools etc...Try buying second hand???

i work with an auto elec and can get the high speed starter motors over the counter for under 200 dollars. otherwise pay a little bit and get your old one re-done
