if im right dont the new GT have a sticker number plate and not the normal metal one? if this is correct then is it legal for me to get a sticker made for my EA? and what rules regarding size, colour etc would i have to meet? thanks

Have no idea what so ever where you pulled that one out of, but it is illegal in all states not to have an authorised number plate fitted to the front of any car. Authorised plates are those and only those that you get through the motor registration department.

The new compliance plates are a sticker so they cant be removed and put on another shell. Helps stop the resurrection of writeoffs etc. I dont think you would be able to get them for an older car, I guess you can ask. Question is why would you want them?

I've seen number plates on a VQ Statesman that were spray painted on. They looked great and curved with the cars kit at the front and back. they were Victorian plates too

a lot of the E-Type Jag guys up here seem to have sticker number plates on the front... maybe call your local transport dept.?
