good arvo.

my g/f's EA speedo has recently begun to stick at 0 km/h and then jump to 50,6o or watever speeds shes travellign, sometimes rolling speed of 10km/h wont register either she claims, it never happnd in the car to me once in over a year, but has happenbed 3 times this week . just wondering if anybody knows why?? or whats the deal?

its and EA S-pac dash btw. if it makes a difrfernce.

Check the speedo plug under the car, could be loose/dirty.
Other than that, the gears inside the speedo unit itself may be wearing out.

In the side of the transmission, i cant remember whether its on the Left or Right, it depends on what kind of transmission it is.

Under the car, you will see a red tube with three wires in it. There will be a plug about halfway down the box joining one half (from the speedo sender) to the other half (to the body loom). This can get wet, dirty, or just plain loose and cause symptoms like what you describe.
