Straight Gas to Dual Fual?

Hey Guys,

A thought has been plaguing my mind for the last couple of days, and I thought I might share it with yaz.

I was wondering, is it possible to convert my mum's straight Gas EA to Dual Fuel?

If it is, what is involved and what are the costs? Also, how much would it cost to get it done from a gas place?

Thanks!

You'd probably just grab all the parts from a wrecker and get a gas place to install, re-wire, etc... but I woudl have to ask what the benefit woudl be? Any performance gained from petrol would be reduced by the extra weight of having 2 fuel tanks...

I've always been single minded when it comes to fuels. IMO, pick a fuel. I have never seen deul fuel really work. Only straight gas and straight petrol. Also you will only need one tank!

DONT DO IT

dual fuel is a compromise full of dramas and you can never get 100% result on both fuels.

Keep the car Straight gas and mabey look at running a GRA gas carby instead of the usual gas ring. Tuned properly (more spark advance) gas can give power and smoothness upto the same level as petrol.

and its cheaper.

you will need a new tank, new lines, new everything if the car has been straight gas for a long while.

problem with fuel it turns into bulgy mud, so you will have to get everything again or clean it out like theres no tomorrow.

im on straight gas, i was tempted to go back to fuel till i found out all of this, it aint worth it..

why she need fuel anyhow?
