Hey, i have an eb series 1 fairmont and it keeps making these noises. Its hard to explain but its like the really high pitched noise the brakes sometimes make...that really loud and annoying squeal. I know its not the breaks, because it does it even when the brakes arent applied. It does it most of the time.....the noise seems to come and go. It doesnt make the noise when it is just ideling and i have no idea what it could be.

its probably the pads, as they are always in contact with the disc, even if the brakes arent applied. I has this type of noise one as well.

V8RUMBLE

Most likely one of the belts slipping. My alt/water pump belt did this on start-up and going hard round left hand corners. Check the tension of all your belts, and tighten them. Or maybe replace them if the're looking a bit worn. Hope this is of some help.
