Barefoot

I had a 2.25" madrel bent set up under my car with a hi-flow cat and a single muffler, it droned like all buggery and I couldn't stand it any longer, even though it was almost perfect on the outside. I sent it in for a resinator and it comes back quiter in the car and louder outside the car, so I am stoked. I find it quite strange though, is this the norm? I suppose it will take some time to wear in and the note may change?

I find the exhaust always sounds different in the car to outside - mine sounds pretty crap inside but out is sweet.
Also quieter inside, many exhausts I have owned were similar; must suggest this to be normal?

Also the car seems a bit more responsive, I thought that it would be more sluggish, is this the extra back pressure or what?
