I have what might seem like a stupid questin so please dont execute me, I have an EA 1990 model, no mods or any hting like that, but I have a tape stuck in the tape deck and I cant get it out. Ford dont seem to want to help me with this and I cant really afford a new head unit, it is the original sterio for the car. Any resonable sujestions will be attempted.
Take the deck out of the dash open it up and remove the tape. A half hour job. Check the operation of the deck before putting it back. You may find a foreign object in the deck or a broken or displaced spring.
PS I'm hesistant to suggest this but you may also be able to carefully lever it out with a pair of small long nosed pliers and a thin screwdriver but don't force anything and be careful. The remove and dismantle methode is slower but much safer but I admit I have also used the pry method before.
my tape player doesn't work :( any sugestions???
i've been tempted by using the hammer on it..
i gotta save some money to get a cd player then all will be good.
