OK the sunroof is in an eb and the owner said it was factory fitted but in the boot it has a sticker (Australian sunroof company) and some other info. Now was it factory fitted or not??? The problem I am having is the thing will open but will only shut when it feels like it when I hit the close button the thing just makes a click noise and nothing happens no matter what button I hit it just make one click noise and then nothing. I leave it for about an hour then try again somtimes it shuts sometimes it wont and I have to go through that process a few times. Anyway today I said stuff it and riped out the roofliner to have a closer look and the clicking noise is coming from this black box witch must controll everything. Anyway thats all the info I can give hope you guys have some ideas.....please have some ideas

I thought all sunroofs were subcontracted, either by the dealer, ford or tickford.
Is it an EB series 1 or 2?
Dealers offered sunroofs to be fitted to any showroom stock, and would employ a local contractor to install the sunroof - some people claim that to be a "factory installation".

Is it catching somewhere, and the ticking is the motor trying to close it? have you given the runners a lube at all?

I don't think that ford were installing the sunroofs themselves back then. If it was factory, they would have most likely sent it out to get done. It could be that your sunroof controller (i think that's what it's called) is on the way out. I could/probably be wrong so I'd be taking it to a specialised sunroof place if I were you. See what they say. Where are you? If you're in victoria I could recommend a few in and around melbourne

Its a 91 I think it must be the controller myself but I have no idea how I will be able to get parts. By the way I live around the brisbane area

I'd be scanning the yellow pages for a sunroof repairer, or maybe pop into your local ford dealer and see who they recommend
