I have a sunroof at home which i want to put in mu XF ute.
Is this a relativley straightforward process, or is there crossbeams in the way. Has anyone done this or knows how this id done, including legalities? Also, where can I get new rubber seals for the sunroof. Itis the manual glass one where you push the lever upwards and it opens about 10cm.

Have seen them fitted to utes, but would not do it myself.
Do you know the manufacturer of the sun roof?
Personally, if you wanted one, I'd suggest you get a new one fitted to the ute. Then you get a waranty and it won't leak in the short term. As they age, they tend to leak through the hinges and the seals, and once in, very expensive to fix.

I've got duel sunroofs in my XC ute. They were in it when I bought it, and I think they've been in there for quite a few years. They tend to allow water to build up between the glasses and the seals due to age (it's not alot). This water occasionally dribles in if I take my ute for a drive after I wash it (depending on acceleration). I don't drive it if it's raining or looks like it's going to rain, just in case.

G'day,
I had a XD ute and had a sunroof when i bought it.
I had nothing but hassles with it, water coming in, always having condensation on the inside of the windows, cold, wet etc etc.
Plus was such a large sun roof I couldnt get any aftermarket ones that could replace it.
So I eventually had to get a new roof to replace it and that wasnt cheap.
My opinion they are more of a hassle and pain in the ass in the long run.
Dont Do it!!!!
