Suppodedly rare LTD??

Hey guys, thought i might get opinions on something...

I've been told now by two people that my ltd is one of a limited run... just trying to see if anyone else knows that they are on about.

its a FC LTD 351 - apparently because it has AH in the chassis number means they are something of a collectors item...

the guy next door to my dad is a ford nut and was helping my try and fix the distributor and he noticed it and then dad rang up mechanic that specialses in fords and he said the same thing.

its got factory mags, sunroof, blue grey interior, electric seats and central locking...

does anyone else know anything about this...

There was a special edition FC LTD called the Cartier.
What colour is your car? These were only made in a champagne colour. There should be Cartier logos on the bootlid, rear 1/4 window and glovebox.(thats if they have lasted the 20+ years)

They also came with a special key purse, coin bag and ladies purse. I would be surprised if youve got these though....

Cant say ive ever heard of these being collectable?

EDIT: I just read that the interior was colour coded to the exterior, as yours is a blue/grey, it may not actually be one of these

(could be something else I dont know of though - sorry)

Yeah the FC came out in Cartier, a mate had one, it had it written on the rear side window. Although his was champaine it was painted Snow white. He was the third owner so none of the othere items were in the car.

Firstly all LTDs had the electric seats, and a lot of FCs had the sunroofs too, but what they did not have was the colour trim and central locking. Just a question, do your seats have an insert in the headrests or are they fully padded (like the XE Ghia's)

The reason I ask about the seats - I don't think it was limited to just the LTD - there was a limited release of XD Fairmont Ghias, with the electric seats and padded consoles from the LTD. They were also painted two tone metallic colours.

Anyway FC LTDs are cool cruisers - don't see too many around anymore
