Ok guys what T bar do you think actually would look best on an EA?
I'm asking because I really cant remember what the hell the others look like ( EB,ED,EF,EL etc etc )
they all fit dont they?

I think they all fit, or can be made to fit. I personally like the EB/ED one best (they are the same) purely because the EF one is a different shape and doesn't match the rest of the dash. :)

the EF one is the best, it matches my interior fine. but then again i have an EL interior. but yeah, they are good, you need to change the little metal bar that goes down to shift the selector when u get an EF one and want to put it into an EA, its only $7 from Ford.
My one is the best one, lol. I bought one of those aftermarket $30 cheapo repco jobs, sanded the crappy paint off and sprayed it the same colour as my car. Sanded it a few times inbetween coats and put on a heap of clear coat, it's come up nice and shiny and silky smooth.

I never worked out for sure when the new T Bar was introduced. Like the EA exterior mirrors, the T bar was one of the detail features carried over from the XF.
An interesting fact: if I'm not mistaken, the newer T bar is actually derived from the original automatic Ford Laser, which in turn was based on a Mazda design. So it may not be a Ford-designed part at all. Still, who is to complain.
