what are the chances of fitting a te50 front to a regular au ute? I've noticed the ute bonnets have a ridge in the middle and I assume a new bonnet would be needed too, but would it fit? what about to an xr model?

My dream would be a te50, chopped in half with a jarrah tray at the moment!

mate i can help u out there cuz im about to do the same thing to my au series 1 sedan(which has the same bonnet as the utes). Iv bought a series 2 bonnet and i can tell u that it is a straight up swap the series 2 sedan bonnet will fit straight on. i was goin to do this to a ute but ended up buying a sedan. just go to a bodykit place and get the TE50 front and get urself a series 2 bonnet and ur away!!I recon it would look sh!t hot on a ute please let me know how u go!!!!!

It's on a series 2 XR ute, but could be done to any ute or series 1 AU.

yeah straight swap. if it looks like that then do it! i seen a WH caprice front end on a VT (VX??) ute once....that actually looked good even though its not really related to this.
dont forget the hard top ute cover with the big wing!!
