Question Tempo A/C question

I have a 93 tempo. The A/C was low on refrigerant, the compressor was still coming on but the air was only cool. Later in the week I got a chance to evacuate and charge the system. By this time the compressor was no longer coming on. I pulled out .23 lbs of R134A and put back in 2.04 lbs. of R134A. The compressor still will not come on. I did nothing else to the car other than charge the system. I checked the fuse, it is good. Anyone have any idea why the compressor will not come on with a charged system? The compressor is not locked up, I can still turn it by hand. Thanks.

Check the wiring to the compressor clutch.

The wiring to it looks good. I think the low refrigerant may have fried the compressor.

try running a wire from positive battery terminal to compressor clutch wire when engine running, if compressor clutch pulls in and after about 30 seconds the suction hose (bigger one that goes from compressor into cabin) gets icy cold then gas side of things ok, must be electrical problem
