Just wondering if someone could give me a quick run down or tutorial on installing thermofans in an ED.
Basically interested in any messy modifications you may need to have them fit, and where the temp sensors go and stuff like that.
Also if I was to paint all my air intake parts white, which will mainly be cosmetic, that would keep the air cooler wouldn't it? because black attracts heat.
If this is so, why do they use black in the first place?
black doesnt attract heat... it absorbs sunlight and heat more so than other colours... if ya get me, and i dnt think it would make any difference, but it would look good!

I have an EA and I did my own thermo fan install, I bought a 10 and 11 inch fan from repco, and have 3 relays setup, one each for the fans when the thermo switch cuts in, which is the standard, sensor into the top radiator hose, and the 3rd relay is connected to the A/C pump to turn the 10 inch fan only to maintain heat exchange over the condensor, I have also added a light to the dash to show me when the thermo fan/s are on, so I can watch the temp and make sure they are working.

I fitted thermos to the NA this week. Easy swap. What I have done for the moment, till I get a thermo switch, is run a power cable from the battery to a relay, which is ignition operated, and have both fans running full time. After summer, ill re-do it with a thermo switch, but at the moment, its working great. Hardest part was removing the clutch fan, and actually finding a set of el thermos.
