Thermostat - what temp ratings are available?

Hey guys...

Getting all pysched up to finally get my car fixed - I just realised that the last time I paid rego (6mths) I haven't driven it since and now its due again!!

Was wondering - what are the various thermostat temp ratings?

I know the genuine one is 92degrees and you can also get a 82degree one but is there one in between this? I was thinking 87degree, etc. Or would even a 5degree temp drop cause a marked increase in fuel use?

Just that once the EA is on the road again it has to do a month of going up a steep range and i'd like the extra cooling to kick in a bit quicker..

Dan..

Nah stick with the factory one, little variations cause big problems - it's quite a sensitive system and the EAs are prone to overcooling anyway.
